"CHARLIE BROWN" var en stor hit for The Coasters" i 1959 og var oppfølgeren til "Yakety Yak" som NJS senere skulle gjøre på "Get It On" i 1976, og NJS henter mye fra Coasters-originalen. Eigil Berg synger trestemt med seg selv og det er Odd-Erik Østerås som bidrar med den dype basslinjen "Why is ev'rybody always pickin' on me". Ivar Hovden blåser saxofon og står for instrumentalsoloen midt i låta.

Charlie Brown

(Jerry Leiber/Mike Stoller)

Fee-fee, fi-fi, fo-fo, fum

I smell smoke in the auditorium

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown

He's a clown, that Charlie Browm

He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see

“Why is ev'rybody always pickin' on me?"

That's him on his knees, I know that's him

Yeah, from seven come eleven

Down in the boys' gym

Who’s always writin’ on the wall

Who’s always goofin’ in the hall

Who’s always throwin’ spitballs

Guess who

“Who me”

Yeah you

Who walks in the classroom, cool and slow

Who calls the english-teacher “Daddy-O”
