"GAMBLIN' MAN" representerer vel det mange oppfattet som "typisk NJS" på slutten av 1970/begynnelsen på 1980-tallet. En enkel, grei og refrengvennlig mediumlåt med masse kassegitarer og Håkon Vellesvik, Eigil Berg og Svein Finjarn i koret mot Eigils sang. Det litt uvanlige arrangementet med halvering av tempoet i verset ble til under innspillingen i studio. Brynjulf Blix spiller orgel.
